The interior dimensions of the hall are 10 metres x 7.5 metres with a capacity of ~60 people seated (around tables), 80 people seated (in rows) and 100 people (standing).
There is a maximum of 100 people allowed on site at any one time. We also have space outside the front of the hall, with a fenced area for e.g. children to play in / a bouncy castle etc.
Included in the hire is the use of:
- Our free ultrafast WiFi
- 80 x stackable chairs
- 10 x 2' square tables
- 10 x 6' wooden trestle tables
- 10 x 6' foldable tables
The chairs and tables are also available for hire at very reasonable rates. Contact us for more details.
Our kitchen includes:
- An electric cooker
- 2 fridges and a drinks chiller cabinet
- A large microwave
- A dishwasher
- Crockery and cutlery
- A First Aid kit
Toilet facilities are modern and clean. A separate disabled-access toilet is also available, with flat disabled access from the hall car park via the side fire doors.
The car park to the side of the hall accommodates around 10 cars. Additional car parking is available within the village itself on Park View (please don't park in the car park next to the flats, as that is for residents only), and also in the loop road next to Buildwas Church, a short walk away.
As with any public building, Buildwas Village Hall is a No Smoking Zone. We ask hirers to refrain from smoking on the premises (inside and outside the building).
Buildwas Village Hall is not a licensed premises although if an individual hirer wants to sell alcohol at an event a Temporary Event Notice can be applied for from Shropshire Council.
